Winter in Quebec is always snowy and cold, but our film crew was “lucky” to experience not just snow and frost, but a real storm. With great difficulty, drowning in the snow and skidding on turns, we made our way from Montreal to Rodin, where the cemetery is located where the main character of our film, Lyudmila Shiryaeva, is buried. Together with Father Seraphim, who serves in the local parish, we literally dug our way to the grave so as not to miss the beautiful and important, as the director intended, shots.
