The city of Smila, Cherkasy region of Ukraine. The hometown of our colleague and friend, the ECG director Olena Tumanska. On December 29, the city was shelled by the Russian Federation, along with 120 other places in Ukraine. Russia was preparing a New Year’s gift for peaceful Ukrainian cities. Olena’s parents were not injured, but there is a lot of destruction in the city. An entire street was destroyed, and as of now, it is known about six injured, one seriously. Our hearts are with Olena and her family.
