This week, our crew was capturing very emotional scenes for the series “Ukrainian Mothers” directed and produced by Olena Tumanska. They were filming a long awaited greeting at the airport where a mother was welcoming to Canada her two kids (3 and 8 years old), whom she has not seen for over 8 months.
Maryna is one of the heroines of the series “Ukrainian Mothers”, who had to come to Canada, being pregnant with twins, while the other two children stayed with their father in Ukraine. The family was reunited before our very eyes. Now, Maryna can finally be at peace as her children will no longer hear the sounds of air ride sirens and exploding bombs.
This series reveals the hard fates of women who fled the war and took their children to Canada.
