ECG Productions commenced filming a new documentary “Rebel with Guitar” which tells about the visit to Canada of a famous Soviet actor, singer, and poet Vladimir Vysotsky.
In April of 1979, he performed a concert in Toronto, which is considered by many to be one of the best concerts in his career.
Yesterday, our filming crew recorded an interview with Yury Shetsen who was at that time the sound director of this legendary event.
He has told us about his acquaintance with Vysotsky, which took place in Leningrad in the 1960’s, about the circumstances of the concert in Toronto and he also shared unique personal archive materials.
