Our work on the project “Rebel with Guitar” continues. From May 26 to May 29, the film crew of ECG PRODUCTIONS conducted its work in Montreal, which was one of the stops during his travels in 1979 Canada of the famous Soviet poet and singer Vladimir Vyssotsky (1938-1980). On the first day, we filmed the famous musician from Quebec, Yves Desrosiers, who in 2002 recorded the album “Volodia” with translations of Vyssotsky’s songs into French. We spent the next two days with Alexander Volynsky, a researcher and former employee of the Vyssotsky Museum in Moscow, who gave our film crew a tour of Vyssotsky’s Montreal and shared materials from his collection. The end of filming was marked by a meeting with the legendary Canadian producer Andre Perry and his wife Yaël Brandeis. At their La Studio in July 1976, Vyssotsky recorded one of the best records in his discography. And here Yaël Brandeis made a unique photo session of Vyssotsky. The premiere of the film is scheduled for January 25 next year, Vyssotsky’s birthday.
