We’re excited to announce that the new episode of Maxim Kravchinsky’s show “I Will Tell You” will feature the renowned doctor, poet, and bard Slava Gaufberg!
Born in Poltava, Ukraine, Slava Gaufberg made groundbreaking contributions to medicine, from being one of the first Soviet doctors to use epidural anesthesia to creating methods of painless wound treatment. After emigrating to the U.S. in 1982, he rebuilt his career, and today he practices emergency medicine at Harvard.
But Gaufberg is also a musician with a lifelong passion for poetry and songwriting. His encounters with iconic Russian bards like Vysotsky and Galich influenced his music. He continues to perform at concerts around the world, blending personal poetry with the works of renowned poets.
Join us for an unforgettable episode where we delve into the remarkable life of Slava Gaufberg — a life where medicine meets art, and hardship gives way to resilience.
Stay tuned for the premiere date!
