From Sunday September 25th till Tuesday September 27th the Jewish people all over the world are celebrating Rosh Hashanah, also known as the Jewish New Year. One of the attributes of this holiday is shofar, a Jewish ritual wind instrument, made from a horn. Its sounds are usually interpreted as a call to repentance. According to an ancient tradition, when celebrating Rosh Hashanah, people dip bread (challah) and apples in honey and wish each other a sweet new year.
