In British Columbia, where the parents of Kiyoshi Nagata, the main character of the film, were in labor camps after World War II.

The film crew of the film “Taiko. Music of the strong” returns home from British Columbia after filming the historical remains of labor camps for Japanese internment after World War II. In the background, is seen Kiyoshi Nagata, the protagonist of the film. His parents were in one of these camps.
