As we wrap up the editing process for our documentary “Ludmila Chiriaeff – The Queen of Quebec Ballet,” we stumbled upon some incredible behind-the-scenes footage that we’re excited to share with you today.
On January 13, 2024, our film crew traveled to Rawdon, just an hour from Montreal, to visit the grave of Ludmila Chiriaeff. What seemed like a calm day turned into an unforgettable adventure as we were caught in a sudden snowstorm while approaching the town.
Our escape from the snowstorm was nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to the help of local residents and Father Seraphim from the nearby church—sent to us, it seemed, by Providence itself—we were able to dig out our vehicle and locate the grave. Father Seraphim even helped us clear the snow-covered site and later invited us to a warm meal in the church’s dining hall.
This journey reminded us of the resilience and kindness that often accompany challenging moments. Stay tuned for the release of this incredible project—coming soon!
